Alison & Sean’s Adventure | Tipsoo Lake Engagement Photos at Mount Rainier
If you live in Western Washington, you can’t miss Mount Rainier on a clear day. When we’re out driving to a session or a wedding and Mount Rainier is “out”, we’re always wishing we were headed for its’ foothills or meadows. There is something about that mountain that draws you in, and it’s such a prominent factor on our landscape. The day of Alison and Sean’s Tipsoo Lake engagement photos was gorgeously sunny, and planned during the peak of wildflower season. We were so excited to get up to the mountain that we left a little early, which resulted in stopping at the tiniest Mexican Cantina in Enumclaw for the largest and tastiest burritos we’ve ever had. (You know a burrito is good when 6 months later you include a line about your burrito in the blog post for the session you ate the burrito before – just saying). Post-burrito, we headed the rest of the way up to Tipsoo Lake to meet Alison and Sean for their engagement session. An awesome thing happens at a session when you just click with a couple, and it shows in their set of images. What they wanted aligned perfectly with the kind of work we love to do. We hiked around the Tipsoo Lake area, grabbing every view we could of the mountain, and chatting about the outdoors, our jobs, and everything in between. Alison and Sean were laid back, and totally trusted us to do our thing. Mother Nature had a hand because the sun was as golden as any summer sunset should be, and we were on point with predicting the wildflower bloom at the lake. This session is a prime example of why we love adventure sessions so much. The extra time to get to know you, and explore an area in depth, results in an amazing session with a diverse set of images that showcase your personalities and relationship.
