Adventurous Mountain Elopement | Paradise – Mount Rainier National Park, WA

“Imagine your perfect wedding day nestled among a spectacular natural outdoor setting with fresh air, natural creeks and Paradise is famous for its glorious views and wildflower meadows. When James Longmire’s daughter-in-law, Martha, first saw this site, she exclaimed, “Oh, what a paradise!” The park’s main visitor center, the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center, is located in the upper parking area. Paradise is also the primary winter-use area in the park, receiving on average 643 inches (53.6 feet/16.3 meters) of snow a year.”

Where to begin? Both Darryl Ann and I feel an incredible connection to Mount Rainer. Shooting elopements there unsurprisingly brings us both a ton of joy, but this wedding was special even by Mount Rainier standards. For our couple it was a destination wedding, another world away from the flatness of their home in Florida. For us another day in this paradise we call home, pun intended. What we didn’t know at the start of the day was that it would be this spectacular. Easily our favorite wedding of 2020, not that the bar was super high (thanks pandemic), but this wedding would stand on it’s own any year. The day was simply perfect, the weather was incredible, our couple and their friends were the best people you could ask to spend a Saturday with, and the light we got couldn’t have been more perfect. If we could bottle up this day and sell it we would in a heart beat.

Seriously though, September is the time, Mount Rainier or more specifically Paradise is the spot, make yourself at home at an A-frame cabin in Ashford, and invite us along for some epic photos! 10/10 you wont regret it.
