Olympic National Park | Adventure Session

Sarah and Parker reached out to us from Florida asking us for something a bit different than what they could get in the Sunshine State. They were making a trip to the PNW and having just gotten engaged, they were hoping to have a session during their trip.Since it was still early spring, we suggested Lake Cushman. Year round it has something unique to offer as an incredible spot for a session. Spring is one of our favorite times at the lake for engagement photos. True to form, the area was coated in the lush green trimmings of spring foliage that make the PNW so unique. Lake Cushman has a little bit of everything for PNW lovers. Tall trees, moss covered logs, giant boulders, and mountains peeking in and out of the clouds.

We could tell these two Florida natives were having a great time taking in the landscape around them. They got an incredibly iconic PNW day. Everything was moody and threatening rain but we never saw a drop. These two were champs in front of the camera. Concentrating on each other and laughing their way through all our prompts.

As the session wrapped up, Sarah and Parker told us about this incredible photo project of theirs that consisted of small video clips from their world travels. They record about 1 second of video of all the fun parts of their trips. We thought it would be fun to take a clip of them, but they actually asked us if we’d be in it! We’re honored to have been a part of their engagement, and trip to Washington. The session was a wrap, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have gotten to know these two shooting their engagement photos at Lake Cushman.
