Adventure Session | Mount Rainier National Park

These two told us early on they were picturing warm, romantic snowy engagement photos in a winter wonderland. That is is no short order for a December engagement session at Mt Rainier National Park. Thankfully, their schedules allowed us to be just flexible enough to avoid a huge snowstorm, and head out to the mountain the very next day, which was sunny! Mount Rainier absolutely shines on a sunny, snowy day. And they can be fairly rare.

This session was easily one of our favorites from last year. The weather was perfect and Julia and James were absolutely adorable together. Even though we spent a lot of time trudging around in the snow (and trust us, there was a lot of it!) no one really minded the freezing temperatures. We made it to the Paradise area just in time for sunset. While everyone was heading back down the mountain from enjoying their day of snowshoeing, skiing, or sledding – we knew the view of the mountain was just getting good.

Everything doesn’t come together quite this perfectly all the time, but when it does we are thrilled to share images like these.
