No matter how you want to say it, we are all in. We love smaller more intimate wedding days that revolve around your values and what makes you happiest. We define our small wedding and elopement packages as any weekday coverage or weekend coverage (with a $4000 minimum), and a guest list under 40. We are firm believers in the idea of making your wedding day unique and customized to you, and as such we don’t mind if it is you and your closest 40 friends and family in your backyard laughing and hugging the night away, or just the 4 of us on a remote mountain top.

How Much Planning Help do you Provide?
We can be as involved in the planning process as you would like. Many of our couples reach out to us having never visited the area before, and only knowing a general area they are excited to tie the knot in. From there we typically help with choosing a more exact location, timeline for that day or days, and can even help in finding other vendors. We are locals, that love what we do, and love helping our clients have incredible experience even outside of the photography portion of their adventure.
Erase Awkward, Capture Connection
We worked with Darryl Ann and Joe for our elopement in the North Cascades in September 2021. It’s overwhelming to figure out what you are supposed to do to get married in the mountains, and they were so incredibly helpful beforehand, walking us through what we should expect day of, timeline, contingency plans for inclement weather, etc. On the day of our elopement, they made our celebration absolutely perfect. And their communication style with each other was incredible to witness. They are like a fine oiled machine: efficient, clear, kind and respectful to each other and also to us and our witnesses (our brothers). We never stood around wondering what to do next, as they helped us keep a flow that allowed for celebration time with each other and our brothers (and our beloved best dog), but also plenty of time to take incredible photos that truly captured the beauty of our location. They were so fast with sending us sneak peak photos, and also with providing the final album. The photos took our breath away. We are so grateful that we worked with Darryl Ann and Joe, and can’t recommend Salt & Pine enough.
Darryl Ann and Joe photographed our summer elopement and they were an absolute dream to work with! I reached out to them with an initial online inquiry and got a prompt response; we set up a consult and decided to hire them off the bat. They came to our meeting prepared and asked us great question to help us decide on what, exactly, we wanted for our special day. We knew we wanted to have our ceremony someplace in nature with beautiful views but had yet to decide on a location. They listened to our vision and helped us find the perfect spot. We felt comfortable talking with them; they are both so warm and kind and have a great sense of humor. They are personable and funny and incredibly talented. Throughout the entire process they were informative, prompt, professional, and communicative. My husband and I were both kind of nervous about having our photo taken and worried it would feel awkward or forced but Darryl Ann and Joe made us feel so comfortable and at ease! They were awesome at guiding us throughout the day, so the photos came out stunning – a mix of lovely portraits and great candids, with many shots that captured the gorgeous landscape, spectacular natural light, and the true essence of the day. I still cannot believe how incredible the photos turned out; they truly exceeded our expectations. Darryl Ann and Joe also worked with us to create our wedding album and were so patient and helpful through that process. The album turned out beautifully! I cannot recommend them enough!!!
Their expertise, compassion, and great personality are responsible for my wife and I having an awesome collection of such unique beautiful and personal photographs from our wedding. Absolutely worth the money.
We had Darryl Ann & Joe do our elopement, and they went above and beyond our expectations. The photos were absolutely gorgeous, and they also helped us choose a great location. We will definitely be going back to them for any photos we want done in the future.
Darryl Ann and Joe did an absolutely wonderful job capturing our elopement. They even (very willingly) battled rain and very high tide for us, and yes most of us got hit with a huge wave at some point! They were so much fun to have be a part of our very important day. All of the pictures we got back are so much more than we could have ever hoped for. We got such a big variety and they were all edited beautifully. They captured all of our feelings throughout the day amazingly, I can’t look at the pictures without tearing up! I would one hundred percent recommend Salt and Pine!
